Squarespace Billing: How to Find Invoices and Update Card
There’s nothing more exciting than getting a brand-new bank card and thinking of all the cool new purchases you can make!
The only issue? You need to update your card details for any subscriptions you’ve set up online.
If you need to change your card details on Squarespace, you can do this in two minutes using the Squarespace billing panel.
Here’s how to get started, as well as how to carry out additional tasks, including managing your subscriptions and downloading invoices.
How to access Squarespace billing
Log into the Squarespace website you want to access the billing information of. Click on Settings at the bottom left of the page.
When you’re in Settings, choose Billing
What you can do in the Squarespace billing panel
There are three things you can do in the Squarespace billing panel. You can:
Change your billing information
Manage your subscriptions
View and download your invoices
Let’s look at each in turn.
Changing your billing information
If you need to update your card details, you can do this here.
Bear in mind that you need to be the site owner to change your information. If you can’t see a way to edit the details, you might not have permission to do so.
If you’re registered for VAT, you can also enter your business name and VAT registration number in this section. This means your Squarespace invoices will take VAT into account.
Squarespace uses the same payment method for all your different subscriptions.
Managing your subscriptions
Here you can review the billing details for the Squarespace subscriptions you use. This includes your:
Digital products (this includes courses and member areas)
The specific options you see and what you can update will depend on what you’ve signed up for.
It’s important to remember that all Squarespace subscriptions are independent of each other. This means changing one subscription won’t affect the others you have in place.
Downloading your invoices
You may be used to getting invoices emailed to you automatically, but Squarespace doesn’t do this for security reasons. This means you have to get them yourself from the Squarespace billing panel.
When you click on invoices, you’ll see a list of invoices ordered by date – most recent first. When you identify the invoice you want to view or download, click on it for more details.
From here you can see the invoice, the invoice number, and a breakdown of charges. You can also click the print button at the top of the invoice to print it or save it as a PDF.
Unfortunately there isn’t a way of downloading invoices in bulk, so you will need to go into each invoice individually.
Alternatively, you can use a tool like GetMyInvoices or InvoiceFetcher to download your invoices automatically and send them to your inbox.
And there you have it – follow this guide, and you’ll always be able to keep on top of your Squarespace billing information!
